California Surf Museum Acquires C.Martino Artwork

OCEANSIDE, CA - The California Surf Museum has acquired the artwork of San Diego artist Chris Martino (\\\"C.Martino\\\") for its permanent collection.

The artwork, \\\"Requiem for a Left Pointbreak\\\" features a stylized surfer dropping into a wave. The piece was constructed using the top half of one of Martino\\\'s favorite surfboards, a 6\\\'6\\\" which was broken while surfing large waves at Del Mar Rivermouth in the beachfront town of Del Mar, California in San Diego\\\'s North County.

The companion piece \\\"Requiem for a Right Pointbreak\\\" constructed of the bottom half of the same board, remains in the private collection of the artist.

The California Surf Museum serves as an international repository and resource center on the lifestyle sport of surfing, through capturing, preserving and chronicling its art, culture and heritage for the education and enjoyment of future generations.
